End the year with us by refining your poem endings at the last Concentrating Chaos generative writing workshop of 2025, led by Editor-in-Chief Madeline Blair.
In this generative writing workshop, participants will explore how poets shape endings to leave a lasting impression. We will study contemporary examples as guides for creating and refining alternative endings for our own poems. Through generative exercise and revision, we will develop strategies for identifying where poems overstay or cut too soon, and for closing poems in ways that feel earned rather than tidy.
Please bring one poem already written with an ending you would like to tinker with! Don’t forget any other writing utensils you may need.
This is a free workshop, but donations are appreciated. Thank you for helping us support local writers and independent bookstores.
Join us at Skunk Cabbage Books on Wednesday, December 17, 6:30-8PM. Capacity is limited. Please register at www.concentratingchaos.com.
Masks required. Venue has HEPA air purification and Far-UVC.
